Eagle Yoga House Teacher Training 2025
Yoga Teacher Training is an amazing journey. You will find yourself with like-minded people from all walks of life, with different attitudes and beliefs, brought together by a love for yoga. There are many courses available. EYH adheres to the requirements of the Yoga Alliance. You will learn how to stand up in front of a classroom of students and deliver a yoga sequence that you have developed. You will also be trained in anatomy, teaching methods, philosophy, and the history of yoga.
Why EYH
We are a twelve year old studio that focuses on relationships and the community. Your Teacher Training will consist of 200 hours of training, of which, 180 hours will be face-to-face contact with senior instructors who care about your success. During your Teacher Training, specialists will be invited to deliver information and share different perspectives on specific modules.
What if you need extra help?
We will be available to support you if a session is missed or if you just need additional repetition. One of our lead teachers will be happy to spend extra time with you if you need more time to absorb the information.
Resources
EYH will provide a Syllabus (see below), and a 200 Hour Manual so that you can learn from the group, and also learn in your own time. The book, ‘Light on Yoga’ by BKS Iyengar, will be required and referred to often throughout the training.
Who are your lead teachers?
Susan Dusho (Lead)
I started yoga late in life, however, from my first yoga class I knew I wanted to teach and throw myself into the history and practices of yoga. I have been practicing for fifteen years and teaching for twelve. I have met several senior teachers who have been my mentors over the past decade. I learned there is so very much to this ancient practice and wanted to create a school that addresses all of the components of yoga. Eagle Yoga House created a curriculum and began teacher training in 2013. I am a certified Yoga Alliance teacher, and received my 500 hour teacher training in Denver in 2018 with Christina Sell. Since then, I have received a second three hundred hour certification and I continue to learn every day. I have over 14,000 hours of teaching since I opened Eagle Yoga House.

Amanda Ruffner
I began my journey into Teacher Training at Eagle Yoga House in 2018, led by Susan Dusho, with an emphasis on Ashtanga and other Asana techniques. Since then I have been certified in Hot Vinyasa, Rocket Yoga, Yin Yoga, and Myofascial Release. I am currently working towards my 500 hour certification with Carmen Aguilar. The biggest takeaway for those interested in Eagle Yoga House Teacher Training is that Susan allows her instructors the freedom to teach their unique style ,using the foundational asanas and sequencing they learn through her guided 200 hour Teacher Trainings.

How many people will be in the course?
There is so much information to digest in a yoga teacher training. All of the lead teachers are dedicated to having a good working relationship with each student. The class size will be small and intimate so all students can be seen and heard.
Can a beginner do yoga Teacher Training?
Yes. We believe all people benefit from yoga. During the Teacher Training, students will master the knowledge, and develop enough confidence to deliver a basic yoga class. This includes techniques, proper alignment, and awareness.
Do I need to be able to do all yoga poses?
No! No one can do all the poses. No one has the perfect body dimensions and other factors needed to do every pose. In this teacher training, we will focus on the health benefits, proper alignment, and modifications to enable all students to practice yoga.
How much teaching practice will I do?
There is a great deal to learn. Ultimately, the goal is to find your voice. Practicing teaching in front of your fellow students can help reduce the stress of public speaking and create a teaching style that is your own. The only way to do this is practice. A clear and strong personal practice is the foundation or great teaching. Your best teaching will come from the things you have worked hard at. Your independent development outside of the classroom will be supported as much as your time in class with others.
How long and what dates are the Teacher Training?
The Teacher Training runs for 5 months. We will meet one or two weekends a month (Friday, Saturday and Sunday) from 9:00-5:00 starting January 24, 2025, for 5 consecutive months with Graduation on June 1st. We know you all have busy lives and that this training is a large commitment. By meeting once or twice a month, students have the time to process the information, study, and allow for the training to work alongside you in your everyday lives
Finances
The Teacher Training is $3,200 We ask for a $500.00 down payment to reserve your spot. Half of the full amount needs to be provided by the February module and the remaining balance by April 15th. However, we believe everyone who has the desire should be given the opportunity to teach, and we will work with you if additional payment arrangements are needed.
