Eagle Yoga House’s 200 Hour Teacher Training - 2026
Yoga Teacher Training is an amazing journey. You will find
yourself with like-minded people from all walks of life, with
different attitudes and beliefs, brought together by a love for yoga.
There are many courses available. EYH adheres to the requirements
of the Yoga Alliance. You will learn how to stand up in front of a
classroom of students and deliver a yoga sequence that you have
developed. You will also be trained in anatomy, teaching methods,
philosophy, and the history of yoga.
Why EYH
We are a fourteen-year-old studio that focuses on relationships and the community. The class size is kept small to focus on the individual rather than a group setting. Your Teacher Training will consist of 200 hours of training, of which 180 hours will be face-toface contact with senior instructors who care about your success. During your Teacher Training, specialists will be invited to deliver information and share different perspectives on specific modules.
What if you need extra help?
We will be available to support you if a session is missed or if you just need additional repetition. One of our lead teachers will be happy to spend extra time with you if you need more time to absorb the information.
Resources
EYH will provide a Syllabus (see below), and a 200 Hour Manual so that you can learn from the group and learn in your own time. The book, ‘Light on Yoga’ by BKS Iyengar, will be required and referred to often throughout the training.
Who are the teachers?
Susan Dusho (Lead)
I started yoga late in life, however, from my first yoga class I knew I wanted to teach and throw myself into the history and practices of yoga. I have been practicing for fifteen years and teaching for Fourteen years. I have met several senior teachers who have been my mentors over the past decade. I learned so much from this ancient practice and wanted to create a school that addresses all the components of yoga. Eagle Yoga House created a curriculum and began teacher training in 2013. I am a certified Yoga Alliance teacher and received my 500-hour teacher training in Denver in 2018 with Christina Sell. Since then, I have received my third three- hundred-hour certification, and I continue to study every day. I have had over 16,000 hours of teaching since I opened Eagle Yoga House.
Mark Zimmerer (Anatomy and Physiology)
Mark has been teaching yoga for over 25 years. His teaching style stems from the Isengard and Alignment based school. He is also a massage therapist with a deep understanding of the human body and the importance of proper alignment for effective practice. He has a clear understanding of hands-on adjustments and will help students gain the tools for proper technique in their teaching. The basic anatomy will be included but not limited to parts of the body, eccentric and co-eccentric muscles and close and open chain muscles.
How many people will be in the training?
There is so much information to digest in yoga teacher training. All of the lead teachers are dedicated to having a good working relationship with each student. The class size will be small and intimate so all students can be seen and heard.
Can a beginner do yoga Teacher Training?
Yes. We believe all people benefit from yoga. During the Teacher Training, students will master the knowledge and develop enough confidence to deliver a basic yoga class. This includes techniques, proper alignment, and awareness.

Do I need to be able to do all yoga poses?
No! No one can do all the poses. No one has the perfect body dimensions and other factors needed to do every pose. In this teacher training, we will focus on the health benefits, proper alignment, and modifications to enable all students to practice yoga.
How much teaching practice will I do?
There is a great deal to learn. Ultimately, the goal is to find your voice. Practicing teaching in front of your fellow students can help reduce the stress of public speaking and create a teaching style that is your own. The only way to do this is to practice. A clear and strong personal practice is the foundation or great teaching. Your best teaching will come from the things you have worked hard at.Your independent development outside of the classroom will be supported as much as your time in class with others.
How long is this Teacher Training?
Teacher Training starts February 6, 2026. We will meet two weekends a month (Friday, Saturday and Sunday) from 9:00-5:00 except for the 2 weekends in May which will start on Friday at 5:00 pm. with Graduation on May 24, 2026. We know you all have busy lives and that this training is a large commitment. By meeting twice a month, students have the time to process the information, study, and allow for the training to work alongside you in their everyday lives
Finances
Teacher Training costs $3,200. A $500.00 down payment reserves your spot. Half of the full amount needs to be provided by Feb 6th and the remaining balance by April 15th. The $500 deposit is non- refundable after February 5, 2026.
